David Woods, MBA

David Woods, MBA, currently functions as the Executive Director at Footprints to Recovery’s Elgin, Illinois based addiction treatment center. With him, Dave brings over 38 years of behavioral Health and substance use experience prior to joining the Footprints to Recovery team. 

After receiving his BS in psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, David began his career as an inpatient counselor for nine years before transitioning into business development, leading to work in administration and operations. This experience helps David to bring a unique insight and perspective to the provision of programs and services to those in need.

Dave has held progressively responsible roles from Director of Business Development, Director of Intake, Program Director, Senior Director, Associate CEO, Vice President of Operations, to Senior Executive Director of Operations with other healthcare companies. Dave obtained his MBA in 2005 and holds Silver Certification in LEAN, whose principles encompass Value Identification, Value Stream Scope, Analysis and Mapping, Creating Efficient Workflow, Standard Work, 6S, Visual Management, establishing Pull Systems, and striving for Continuous Improvement, as well as certification in FEMA Incident Command System.
